The Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc (UTMB) is a mountain ultramarathon race, first held in 2003, that follows the route of the Tour du Mont Blanc. It is considered the most competitive trail ultramarathon in the world.

The race takes place once a year in the last weekend of August or the first weekend of September in the Alps. It follows the route of the Tour du Mont Blanc through France, Italy, and Switzerland. The distance is approximately 171 kilometers and the total elevation gain is about 10,040 meters.
